While we’ve enjoyed being able to get on the park for some footy this year, AFL Masters NSW would like to remind our participants we must remain vigilant to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
NSW Health asked the following recommendations to be implemented on 19 August, and anticipated them to remain in place for the six weeks.
- Cease activities that result in the mixing of participants and staff from different regions.
- Cease any activities that result in overnight stays.
- Cease face-to-face social activities relating to community sports (e.g. post-training group dinners)
- Avoid carpools or bus travel with people from different household groups.
- Spectators to stay 1.5m apart or wear a mask if you can’t.
For more details, visit the NSW Office of Sport websiteWe understand this may limit opportunities for play, but we hope to avoid a situation where penalties are imposed for lack of compliance, or worse, cases of the virus are spread among our participants. Thanks for your patience and understanding, AFL Masters NSW.
